Welcome to the Turkey Tri. Come out and BURN those holiday calories with triathlon distances challenging enough for the seasoned triathlete, yet short enough for the novice triathlete. The event begins with a fun filled ½ mile, calm, lake swim. The bike is a 14 mile (2-loop) road course that is mostly flat with a couple of small hills. The run is 4.5 miles all on paved surfaces around the lake. Everyone gets a piece of Pumpkin Pie at the finish line!
Don’t forget the kids! The San Dimas Turkey Tri is fun for the whole family! Come participate in the Turkey Tri and bring the kids for the Pumpkin Pie Kids Duathlon. Keep your kids in the action and promote physical fitness with this 1/2 mile run, 2 mile bike and 1/2 mile run. Good for Ages 4-12

All the proceeds from the Turkey Trot directly fund the YMCA financial assistance program, which enables the Burbank Y to provide services to members in our community on a sliding scale, fulfilling our promise to turn no one away from membership for inability to pay. Join us for the XTERRA holiday trail run in beautiful Crystal Cove State Park! Race #3 takes place at CRYSTAL COVE STATE PARK, which is located five miles south of Newport Beach and/or five miles north of Laguna Beach on December 8, 2018. The race features two distances – an introductory 6k trail run and a longer 15k trail run for the more experienced runner. This all takes place on fire roads and single track trails in the El Moro area of Crystal Cove State Park. Race field is limited, so enter early. This is the perfect trail run to keep you in shape over the holiday season.
You’ll run along the 101 freeway in Nyeland Acres, near Oxnard. The runners follow a flat and fast course, along the fragrant strawberry fields, through Downtown Oxnard and the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District decorated for the holidays, to the beach, and finish at Channel Islands Harbor.
What started in 2003 as a toy drive to celebrate the relocation of the world’s largest Santa Claus from Carpinteria to Oxnard has grown into a robust running event, toy drive, community fundraiser, and holiday season celebration.
The San Diego Holiday Half Marathon is a fast 13.1 mile course that starts on Penasquitos Drive in front of the Hotel Karlan (formerly, the Doubletree Golf Resort) then travels SW along Carmel Mountain Rd (your only ‘real’ hill at mile 1.5), along the 56 bike path and finishes at the beautiful Torrey Pines State Beach (pictured above!). The race includes a 711-foot net elevation drop along the rolling downhill bike path, which also makes it a personal best candidate. This popular winter half has been a sell out event every year and sure to sell out for 201. Get your end of the year PR!!!
The 22nd annual Solar Turbines 5K run will take place on the corner of Harbor Drive and Ash St. and finishes in Ruocco Park. Athletes will run past 100,000 spectators. Runners, families and spectators can watch the remainder of the parade that features colorful floats, bands and huge inflatable characters. Awards are three deep in all divisions.
The race begins at the corner of Harbor Dr. & Ash St. and heads south on Harbor Drive to 8th St., behind the San Diego Convention Center. It continues north along the marina walkway making a loop through Embarcadero Park N., finishing on the walkway just past G Street in time to catch the first band and balloons as they parade by.
