The Laguna Niguel Triathlon & 5K benefits WeROCK (We Run Orange County’s Kids), a non-profit organization that provides after-school intervention programs for the Middle and High School students of Orange County. By delivering education and proper training for the completion of a 26.2 mile marathon, We ROCK teaches our community’s teenagers the important life skills of goal setting, self-reliance, discipline and self-confidence. The athletic boosters mission is raise funds for Northwood athletics which enrich the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of all students by providing competitive opportunities in which the lifelong values of sportsmanship, individual effort, character development, teamwork, integrity, and commitment are emphasized.
We welcome all levels of athletes and our race is considered very beginner friendly. Triathlon can seem intimidating and complicated, but it’s as easy as swim, bike, and run, don’t sweat it too much!
The Southland Credit Union Los Alamitos Race on the Base takes place on the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base. The event includes a variety of races for all ages and abilities including; Glow In The Dark Whimsical Fun Run, 10K Wheel/Handcycle, 5K Run/Walk To Remember, Reverse Triathlon, 10K Run, Jr. Reverse Triathlon, and a Virtual 5k Run/Walk To Remember.
Desert Triathlon is the unofficial kickoff to triathlon season. Heading into its 18th year, Desert Triathlon is the perfect race for both the new or beginner triathlon, and the experienced triathlete looking to shake off their winter rust. We’re situated on the calendar as the perfect warmup to several longer distance races, including the 70.3 in Oceanside
Every spring we gather together for a morning of family fun and exercise to bring awareness of CHD to the community. Join us at Rancho Cucamonga Central Park as we enjoy music, vendors, giveaways, opportunity drawings and 5K/1K Run/Walk.
The Pasadena Triathlon, Duathlon and 5k returns for the 12th year! This family friendly event is great for new triathletes (lots of first timers), intermediate athletes (looking to get faster) and experienced triathletes (looking to gauge their fitness). There is a Junior Triathlon (kids 5-10) after all the adults, so the entire family can participate.
These races are structured to raise the maximum amount of funds for local nonprofits and charities while showcasing one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Southern California. A minimum of 15% of all race registration fees are slated to go directly to the nonprofits and charities that the race registrants themselves choose when they register for one of the races. No other major road race in the United States allows the racers to choose the non-profit or charity they want to support.
